Media Rewound: BOA Editions 40th Anniversary Reading (AWP 2016)

Poet, editor, and translator A. Poulin, Jr. founded BOA Editions on America’s bi-centennial  as a press to give voice to important, yet upderappreciated writers. Over the last forty years, BOA has emerged as one of the pillars in the literary world, championing such authors as Lucille Clifton, Li-Young Lee, Dorianne Laux, Naomi Shihab Nye, Kim Addonizio, and Barbara Jane Reyes.

In honor of forty years of publishing, BOA Editions held a reading at this year’s AWP Conference in Los Angeles. The reading is one of many events which have comprised a busy calendar for the press. The AWP reading featured authors: Li-Young Lee, Michael Waters, Aracelis Girmay, Nikola Madzirov, and Jillian Weise.
